Lumora

Commercial solar

The cheapest power your site will buy is on its own roof.

We design, install and finance rooftop, carport and ground-mount solar for businesses across northern Europe, sized to your meter data so the power is used where it is made.

296MWp
Solar installed since 2012
920kWh
Typical yield per kWp a year in the Netherlands
25years
Module performance warranty
6.8years
Average payback on systems bought outright
01How it works

Where solar fits on your site.

Every system we build connects to the same switchboard, so solar, storage and charging are designed together, against one grid connection.

01

Panels turn daylight into direct current

Modules on the roof, a carport or open ground produce direct current whenever there is daylight, most strongly between late morning and mid-afternoon.

02

Inverters feed the main switchboard

String inverters convert it to alternating current at the voltage your site runs on and connect into the main switchboard, beside the grid supply.

03

Your site uses solar first

Machines, lighting, cooling and chargers draw from the array before the grid. You buy less power at the price you pay today.

04

Surplus goes to a battery or the grid

What the site cannot use charges a battery or is exported and paid for by your supplier. Monitoring records every 15 minutes.

02Who it suits

The sites that gain most.

If your site is on this list, a site assessment will usually find a system that pays for itself.

  • Logistics and warehousing

Large flat roofs and steady daytime loads from lighting, sorters and cooling.

  • Manufacturing

High, constant demand that uses almost every kWh the roof makes.

  • Retail

Cooling and lighting that peak on the same sunny afternoons as solar.

  • Agriculture

Barn and store roofs with milking, ventilation and cold storage below.

  • Education

Daytime use on weekdays, with carports and roofs that stay in use for decades.

03Key figures and specs

What we build, in numbers.

The ranges we design within. Your proposal names the exact equipment and why it was chosen.

System size
50 kWp to 15 MWp
Mounting
Ballasted east-west on flat roofs, rail systems on sheet metal, carports and ground-mount
Modules
Monocrystalline, 440 to 580 Wp, glass-glass where the roof allows
Inverters
String inverters, 98.4% peak efficiency, one spare per 40 on site
Added roof load
12 to 20 kg per m² on flat roofs
Grid connection
We prepare and submit the application to your network operator
Monitoring
Every string, every 15 minutes, watched from Rotterdam
04The process

Five steps, one team.

01

Site assessment

A year of meter data, the roof drawings and a two to three hour visit.

02

Design and yield model

Panel layout, shading study, structural check and a yield model you can test.

03

Permits and grid

Building notifications and the network operator's approval, handled by us.

04

Installation

Our own crews, scheduled around your operations and deliveries.

05

Monitoring and service

Commissioning report, then 25 years of data, alerts and visits.

05Related projects

Most modern warehouse and factory roofs can. We check the structural drawings and, where needed, ask a structural engineer to confirm before anything is designed. If the roof needs replacing within ten years, we tell you first.

Site assessment

Find out what your roof could produce, and what it would save.

An engineer reviews your meter data and roof, visits the site and sends a written proposal with a design, a yield model and the financing options that fit. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
