About Lumora

Engineers first, since 2012.

Lumora began with two engineers and one warehouse roof in the port of Rotterdam. Today 180 people in three offices design, build, finance and look after commercial energy systems across northern Europe.

01Our story

Fourteen years, one way of working.

We grew by doing one thing carefully: designing each system around how the site uses power, then staying to look after it.

  1. 2012

    Two engineers, one warehouse roof

Eline Vermeer and Pieter de Graaf fit their first 180 kWp array on a cold store in the port of Rotterdam.

  2. 2016

    Hamburg

A second office opens to serve logistics and food producers across northern Germany.

  3. 2018

    Batteries

The first battery goes in at a dairy in Friesland, to keep milk cooling running through the evening peak.

  4. 2019

    Wrocław

Our storage engineering team settles in Wrocław, close to the plants of Lower Silesia.

  5. 2021

    Charging

Depot charging joins solar and storage, sized against the same site connection.

  6. 2026

    640 systems

180 people, three offices and an operations centre that watches every site we have built.

02What we stand for

Four rules we do not bend.

01

Numbers before promises

Every proposal shows its yield model, its assumptions and the payback we expect. If the numbers do not work, we say so.

02

Sized to the load, not the roof

The best system is the one your site uses. We start from your meter data, then fit the roof to it.

03

One partner for 25 years

The team that designs your system also monitors it, services it and answers the phone when something changes.

04

Safe sites, every day

Roof work, high voltage and batteries leave no room for shortcuts. Our crews stop a job before they cut a corner.

03Leadership

The people who sign off your system.

Every proposal is reviewed by an engineer on this list before it reaches you.

Rotterdam

Eline Vermeer

Chief Executive and co-founder

Electrical engineer. Designed Lumora's first array on a cold store in the port in 2012 and still reads every yield report.

Rotterdam

Pieter de Graaf

Head of Engineering and co-founder

Structural and electrical design lead. Sets the design standard every Lumora system is built to.

Rotterdam

Sanne Bakker

Chief Financial Officer

Built Lumora's lease and power purchase agreement offers. Before Lumora, ten years in project finance.

Hamburg

Jonas Brandt

Chief Technical Officer

Runs engineering in Hamburg and the yield models behind every proposal. Physicist by training.

Wrocław

Agnieszka Nowak

Managing Director, Poland

Opened the Wrocław office in 2019 and leads battery storage engineering across the company.

Rotterdam

Mikkel Holm

Head of Operations and Monitoring

Leads the operations centre that watches all 640 systems and the service teams in each office.

Careers

Build the next 640 with us.

We hire engineers, electricians and project leads who like to see their work on a roof. Training, a van that charges at home and a say in how we build.

Site assessment

Find out what your roof could do.

An engineer reviews your meter data and roof, visits the site and sends a written proposal with a design, a yield model and the financing options that fit. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
