01The challenge

Odra's CNC lines, compressors and heat-treatment furnaces draw a steady 1.4 MW from 06:00 to 22:00, and the furnaces add peaks on top. Energy had become the plant's second largest cost after people, and the finance team wanted a fixed price and a payback it could check.

02What we built

The plant's five sawtooth bays face south, which suits panels well. We used every bay, kept walkways for roof maintenance and added a 1.5 MWh battery that catches the furnace peaks. The system was bought outright on a fixed price, with the yield model attached to the contract.

03The result

The array makes 3,100 MWh a year and the plant uses 88% of it. Monthly reports from our Wrocław team compare the real yield against the contract model, line by line.

How the project ran

1

Assessment

January 2024

Meter data, furnace schedules and a structural review of the sawtooth trusses.

2

Design and contract

February to April 2024

Bay-by-bay layout, peak-shaving controls and a fixed-price contract with the yield model attached.

3

Installation

May to October 2024

One bay at a time over the production floor, with nets and night work over the furnaces.

4

Monitoring

From November 2024

Monthly yield reports against the contract model, prepared in Wrocław.

We bought on a fixed price and a payback we could check. The monitoring report and our energy bill tell the same story.

A site like Odra Precision Components's? Let us look at yours.

An engineer reviews your meter data and roof, visits the site and sends a written proposal with a design, a yield model and the financing options that fit. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
