The blend
Fazenda Boa Esperança and the Pitalito growers
Two farms we have bought from for three harvests, blended for sweetness.
Morning Bell is the coffee we drink most at Canal Yard. Sixty per cent is a natural Yellow Catuaí from Fazenda Boa Esperança, which brings the body and the chocolate.
The other forty per cent is a washed Caturra from smallholders around Pitalito, which lifts it with red apple. We roast the two separately and blend after, so each gets the roast it needs.

“Our default now”
We tried four of the coffees and keep coming back to this one. Chocolatey in a flat white, and my partner drinks it black.
Hannah OkaforSubscriber since March · brews it as EspressoSubscriber “Sweet, never bitter”
I was buying supermarket espresso blends before. This is a different drink. Nutty, sweet and very easy to dial in.
Tomás ReyOrdered twice · brews it as Espresso “Great in the cafetiere too”
Bought it for the machine, ended up using it in the cafetiere at weekends. Lovely red apple note when it cools.
