Plain words on privacy

This is a demo site. Handwell is a fictional company, built by Consenteo to show a marketplace at work. Nothing you enter is sent to a real company, no card is ever taken, and no real pro will contact you.

What happens to what you enter

When you send a request or a pro application, the details are checked by the site’s own server and a reference is sent back. The server does not store them and does not log them.

Your requests, their quotes and your messages are kept in your browser’s local storage, so they are there when you come back on the same device. Photos you add are never uploaded: a small preview stays in your browser. Documents in a pro application stay in your browser too; only their name, type and size are checked.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes all of it.

Cookies and similar storage

The cookie banner offers three categories. You can change your choice at any time.

  • NecessaryAlways on

Keep the site working: your requests and their quotes, a pro application in progress, and your cookie choice. Stored in your browser only.

  • AnalyticsOnly if you allow it

Count visits and see which pages and steps help people, so the site can be improved. For example: a search, a request step reached, an earnings estimate used.

  • MarketingOnly if you allow it

Measure campaigns and show relevant offers on other sites. For example: a request started from a pro's profile, a job booked, a pro sign-up.

In this demo, analytics and marketing events are not sent anywhere. The Consenteo notes in the corner show each one, and whether it would have been sent or held back because of your choice.

Who to ask

On a live Handwell site this section would name the data controller and how to reach them. For this demo, questions about how it was built go to Consenteo, through the link in the footer.
