Where it comes from

Haro Sorsa smallholders

About 600 families who deliver cherry to the Haro Sorsa station, where it dries on raised beds for three weeks.

Haro Sorsa sits high in the Guji zone, where cherry ripens slowly in cool nights. The families who deliver here grow coffee in their gardens alongside false banana and maize.

The cherries dry whole on raised beds and are turned by hand every few hours. That slow drying is where the blueberry comes from. We roast it light to keep it.

  • “Actually tastes of blueberries”

I thought the tasting notes were marketing. They are not. Brewed in a V60 it is like blueberry tea with jasmine.

Lena BrandtOrdered three times · brews it as V60
  • “The quiz got it right”

Said I liked fruity and was feeling adventurous. 94% match and it was spot on. Will order the Kenya next.

Sam AchterbergFirst order · brews it as AeroPress
  • “Wild in a good way”

Very fruity. Not one I would drink every day, which is why the subscription lets me swap it in now and then.
